Taiwan-based Far Eastern International Bank (FEIB) has teamed up with technology firm Unisys to upgrade the IT environment for its core banking system.
The Taiwanese lender already uses the Unisys Chinese System Finance (CSF) core banking system to facilitate customer relationship management, risk monitoring and regulatory reporting.
Powered by the Unisys ClearPath Forward platform, the CSF solution also enables FEIB to support deposits and payments as well as funds transfer.
FEIB executive vice president Lonnie Liu said: “The flexibility and security of the Unisys ClearPath Forward environment supports FEIB’s ongoing digital transformation strategy to offer new and enhanced banking services to our customers so they can bank anytime, anywhere via internet and mobile channels.”
Under the new pact, Unisys will deliver two ClearPath Forward Libra systems, hardware along with software maintenance and licenses. The technology provider will also offer upgraded Dell EMC storage systems.
Unisys Asia Pacific vice president and general manager Rick Mayhew said: “ClearPath Forward provides FEIB with a secure and flexible platform on which to roll out new services in response to customer demands and market opportunities.”
