Tennessee’s First Citizens National Bank is turning to technology firm Diebold Nixdorf for cloud-enabled self-service options in all 26 of its branches.
The lender will deploy the vendor’s Vynamic platform that offers API-based integration to its FIS core banking system in an ‘easy-to-deploy, as-as-service model’.
The deployment of the Vynamic Software suite is expected to be over by the end of September this year.
Diebold Nixdorf senior vice president of Global Banking Octavio Marquez said that the latest partnership builds on the almost decade-long relationship between the two parties.
Marquez stated: “Their core integration strategy drives efficiency within the branch, empowers innovative transactions and sets the stage for future technology investments.
“Vynamic Transaction Automation provides their ‘on us’ customers with a personalised experience and more advanced capabilities.”

By GlobalDataDiebold Nixdorf Vynamic Transaction Automation will facilitate more teller-like transactions at the ATM by linking to the banking core, further noted the vendor.
It will add various capabilities such as approving and processing credit and debit transactions internally, accessing deposits in real time and allocate proceeds to different accounts, as well as making bill payments at ATMs via remittance and cash or cheque payment.
The core integration is also said to boost branch efficiency through assisted self-service for more complex transactions. Branch staff can use tablets in the branch to carry out overrides and approvals at the ATMs directly.
First Citizens National Bank president and COO Judy Long said: “We are always striving to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers – and now we can offer advanced transactions through self-service capabilities at the ATM that were previously only available over the counter.”
First Citizens National Bank is a subsidiary of First Citizens BancShares with assets of over $2bn.
Last year, Oman-based BankDhofar extended its partnership with Diebold Nixdorf for a digital-first self-service solution to enhance its customer experience across its ATM network.
