Digital security provider Gemalto has become
MasterCard’s global replacement vendor.
Gemalto will provide MasterCard with a “single
entry point” for centralised data management in order to issue a
replacement card within 24 hours upon notification, regardless of
where customers are located.

MasterCard will contact Gemalto and provide
the customer’s details when a card is reported lost or stolen.
The service will use Gemalto’s global network
of banking service centres.
MasterCard will be able to monitor and trace
the card issuing process and also interact with Gemalto in
real-time to improve responsiveness.
