Privately held IndusInd Bank in India has rolled out video-branch, a new service that allows customers to communicate with the bank staff through video conference facility.
Using the new customer-centric service, which is available round the clock, the customers can schedule a video call with the branch managers/relationship mangers or connect to the central video branch instantly.
Available only to existing and new customers of the IndusInd Bank, the video branch service assists customers in various services such as fixed deposit booking, NEFT, and transfer service through a video chat with contact centre executive instantly.
"This is a first-of-its-kind initiative in banking industry facilitating customers to interact with staff at their own convenience…," the bank said in a statement.
IndusInd Bank consumer banking head Sumant Kathpalia said, "In a move to digitise the banking experience for all customers, IndusInd Bank Video Branch is a 24×7 unique innovative service allowing customers to interact Face-to-Face with their bank branch using their desktop, tablet or smart phone."
The bank said that the service will facilitate all customer transactions from the comfort of users’ homes.
