kakaobank, a South Korea-based internet-only bank, has deployed whiteCryption’s application protection technology to enhance security features of mobile banking apps.

The deal enables the Korean bank to offer more security to internet banking mobile apps on Android and make financial transactions more secure.

The bank will make use of whiteCryption’s Secure Key Box to protect users data from getting hacked and protect cryptographic keys.

whiteCryption is a subsidiary of Silicon Valley-based Intertrust Technologies. It offers software protection services and is specifically designed for mobile and IoT devices.

Kakao Corporation is one of the major shareholders of kakaobank and has more than 42 million users on its mobile messaging platform.
