Kyrgyz Investment Credit Bank (KICB), established in 2001, has become the first bank to introduce mobile banking into Kyrgyzstan.

KICB will use Mahindra Comviva’s mobile banking mobiquity software to power their mobile banking app.

Mahindra Comviva’s mobile banking app can be used for domestic and international money transfers, airtime recharge, balance enquiry and bill payments.

Kwang-Young Choi, CEO at KICB, said: "Our aim is to provide a cost-effective banking solution and improve people’s lives. The solution will further enhance convenience for our existing and future customers."

Speaking on the partnership, Srinivas Nidugondi, head of mobile financial solutions, Mahindra Comviva said: "We are very pleased to partner with KICB. Our solution will allow the bank to offer an intuitive and superior user experience."
