Kuwait International Bank (KIB) has upgraded its banking systems with International Turnkey Systems-developed (ITS) Shariah-compliant ETHIX financial solutions.

With ETHIX, KIB will be able to reduce operational expenditure by consolidating its original services under one unified system.

The ITS solution will also allow KIB to improve its customer services, increase product development and attain efficiency through increased control and automation.

KIB corporate support deputy general manager, Lamya Al Tabtebai, said ETHIX provides solutions specifically designed to meet the bank’s requirements in several aspects, including managing processes of completion and executing transactions, the integration of various departments, divisions and units to ensure streamlined access to information and swift transactions.

"Lastly, it connects all of KIB’s core systems together and this is vital for us. With ETHIX all our systems will be centralised and thus enable us to reduce potential risk and errors and increase the efficiency and productivity of the bank," Al Tabtebai added.

ITS global financial solutions director, Hany Ramadan, said their solution will empower the technology processes within KIB, facilitating a greater control of service and the adoption of quick changes as a result from policy, regulation and competition in the market.
