Irish P2P lending platform Linked Finance has secured full authorisation from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The approval paves way for the firm to apply to HMRC for ISA manager status and offer the Innovative Finance ISA.
Linked Finance CEO Niall Dorrian said: “I am very pleased that we have secured full FCA approval. It puts us ahead of the curve in terms of preparing for any regulation of the sector in Ireland.
“It also demonstrates to lenders and borrowers here at home that Linked Finance operates to the highest standards.”
Since its launch 2013, Linked Finance has offered over €25m worth of loans to SMEs across Ireland.
