Malaysian lender Maybank has expanded its footprint in Cambodia with the launch of a new corporate office.
The new office, known as Maybank Tower, will be located on Norodom Boulevard, Phnom Penh.
The newly opened building will house Maybank’s (Cambodia) entire operation along with the main branch.
Maybank chairman Tan Sri Megat said: "We believe that our efforts in evolving the nation’s financial industry and economy are in line with the Asean Economic Community’s (AEC) initiative to promote competitiveness and economic development."
In addition, the lender has also introduced Cambodia’s first-of-its-kind Visa Debit Picture Card, which allows clients to personalise their debit cards with pictures of their choice.
"The new card, part of Maybank’s efforts to bring innovative new products and services to Cambodia, aims to further promote cashless transactions in Cambodia, while boosting the Bank’s growth in the debit card business," the bank said in a statement.
