Mercantile Bank, a Dhaka-based bank that provides products and services in retail banking, corporate finance, Islamic finance, asset management, equity brokerage and security, has partnered with Bangladesh’s mobile operator Grameenphone (GP) to offer its MYCASH services for GP customers.
MYCASH is a mobile money transfer service that allows customers to transfer funds through internet and SMS.

Under the deal, GP will use its MobiCash distribution platform that deals with mobile money transfer to provide MYCASH services for its customers.
With MYCASH, GP customers can use the services directly from their mobile devices and through a network of GP MobiCash agents.
Mercantile’s MYCASH services include cash in, cash out, fund transfer, fund management, balance enquiry, mini statement, bank deposit and other services.
