Moneyou, the online banking arm of Dutch banking group ABN Amro, has teamed up with Berlin-based fintech firm solarisBank to offer instant digital loans to customers.

Under the arrangement, Moneyou customers in Germany will be able to apply for solarisBank loans of between €1,000 and €35,000.

The loans will be authenticated using video identification and digital-based processes and fulfilled in 7 minutes.

Moneyou CEO Liesbeth Rigter said: “The instant digital loan is a new building block of our smart banking concept, which is oriented towards the reality of our customers’ lives: making self-determined decisions and using fast processes with easy-to-understand digital products.”

solarisBank CCO and co-founder Marko Wenthin added: “We see our first partnership with another bank as confirmation of our platform approach, which can bring digital companies, start-ups, banks and corporates all together to form one financial ecosystem.”
