Togo-based ORABANK has selected banking software vendor CR2’s BankWorld digital banking platform for its operations.

Under the terms of the contract, CR2 will provide a suite of self-service digital and agency banking services to ORABANK.

ORABANK operates across 12 countries in west and central Africa including Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Togo.

ORABANK Group CEO Binta Toure Ndoye said: “This solution will help us provide a digital experience that is consistent across all of our channels operating in 12 countries in Africa.

“It guarantees both revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives; provides a modern customer experience; and mutually benefits both ORABANK Group and our valued customers.”

The deployment of CR2 solution is expected to enable ORABANK to increase its branch efficiency as well as generate additional revenue by introducing customised and targeted services.

It is also expected to support ORABANK’s strategy to digitise its line of service to expand its reach and adapt its offering in a competitive environment.

Commenting on the contract, CR2 CEO Fintan Byrne said: “This contract is an example of our continued expanding footprint across Africa and we are pleased to provide ORABANK with the digital tools necessary to deliver an exceptional customer experience across multiple banking touchpoints.”

With deployments in more than 100 banks in 60 countries, CR2 focuses on assisting the banks through the digital transformation.
