Austria-based Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) has signed a cooperation agreement with Spain’s Banco Santander related to the mutual referral and servicing of corporate clients.
The deal will give the banks’ corporate customers access to the partner banks’ service offerings on their respective home markets.
It will help corporate customers to expand to other countries as RBI is focused on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), while Banco Santander is active in Europe and the Americas.
RBI managing board member in charge of corporate banking Peter Lennkh said: “This agreement creates added value for our respective customers, and we thereby strengthen our position as a reliable partner for them.”
Javier Arias, responsible for international business development at Banco Santander, added: “This is a win-win situation for both our customers and us. We are glad to present a strong partner for our customers wanting to expand to other countries.”
