Austrian lender Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) has chosen selected NCR Corporation’s security software to secure its 5,500 ATMs across seven eastern and central European countries.

The technology vendor said that its NCR Solidcore Suite for APTRA Software will proactively protect the bank’s ATMs from insider attacks by preventing the introduction of unauthorized code on the network and maintaining its integrity and availability.

The platform is designed to defend against known and unknown malware and fraud attacks on the ATM, NCR added. This multi-layered approach to ATM security includes logical and physical solutions.
