Restart has launched a multilingual digital bank to target immigrant and ethnic groups in the US.
The newly launched digital banking app has a bilingual user interface, which allows the customer to choose between English and their native language.
Initially, the bank app will offer services in Russian. Other languages such as Ukrainian, Armenian, Belarusian, Kazakh, and Polish will be added in the fourth quarter of 2021, while Chinese and Vietnamese will be added in 2022.
Restart provides services offered by traditional banks such as issuance of a debit card, and fund transfers.
The customer support services will be offered by native speakers.
The app is aimed at boosting financial inclusion among unbanked or underbanked, the digital lender added.

Restart noted that customers can open an account through the app and order their debit card, which will be delivered to them in seven working days.
Restart CEO Dennis Larionov said: “We appreciate the complexity and challenges faced by minorities, particularly in overcoming language barriers and improving financial literacy.
“Restart is the first step in financial inclusion for new-to-country customers and a lifesaver for those who have been living in the United States for several years and find it difficult to be a part of the English-centric banking ecosystem.”
