Santander has unveiled plans to beef up its online presence in
an effort to boost traffic to its website and improve its ranking
on Google.
The eurozone’s largest bank by market capitalisation has signed
up the Greenlight marketing agency to manage its “natural search”
activity in the UK.
Santander selected Greenlight over other agencies including
Tamar, Carat and Bigmouthmedia.
Amanda Mayes, the bank’s senior eMarketing manager, said: “Over
the pitching process, [Greenlight] demonstrated its experience,
strength and ability to resolve complex issues, underpinning our
decision… as we move to improve Santander’s online visibility and
sales.”
Greenlight worked with Alliance & Leicester before it was
taken over by the Santander group in 2009.
