French banking group Societe Generale has joined forces with Factory, a Berlin-based startup campus that connects startups and corporate, to facilitate innovation.
Societe Generale, which operates from six locations in Germany, termed Berlin as the “best base from which to accelerate innovation projects”.
The group’s innovation work will now be facilitated by its new team based at Factory, who will support its various business units in Germany.
The group’s German units are already working with 20 local startups, the French lender said. The group has also teamed up with German startups internationally.
Societe Generale Group country head Guido Zoeller Germany and Austria said: “The team at Factory will connect our different businesses with the creative actors of the ecosystem, and enable us to deliver innovative user-centered solutions faster.
“For us, Factory is the perfect place to get access to these young companies and digital talents and to profit by our transversal approach for the entire Societe Generale Group in Germany and abroad.”
