Solace has entered into a partnership to enhance Standard Chartered Bank Korea’s (SCB Korea) online banking platform Straight2Bank (S2B).

The enhancement will enable businesses, which use S2B to make payments, manage large volumes of domestic and international online transactions.

SCB Korea adopted a Solace-enabled event mesh and event-driven architecture to scale up the service.

The event mesh will enable real-time data flow between SCB Korea’s new digital channels and core services using APIs, integrating the bank’s legacy applications and microservices.

SCB Korea Technology & Innovations senior vice-president Jason Ki said: “It is a key priority for us to be able to provide our customers with the best experience regardless of which channels they choose.

“Emerging technologies like 5G will further disrupt the evolving financial services landscape in the coming years. It is critical that we leverage best-of-breed technology to secure the necessary foundations in place to stay relevant.
