France-based Crédit Agricole Technologies and Europe-based software development firm Sopra Banking Software have successfully migrated 39 regional banks to a single information system.
The move is part of Crédit Agricole’s major transformation programme, Nouvelle Informatique Convergente et Évolutive (NICE) also known as New Convergent and Scalable Information Technology, which was launched in 2008 to migrate regional banks to single information system.

The new programme is expected to enable Crédit Agricole transform into a multi-channel bank and strengthen its ability to meet customers’ needs, while being able to quickly adapt to market changes.
Crédit Agricole Technologies CEO and NICE programme director, Hichem Jaballah, said having been a partner to Crédit Agricole for many years, Sopra has helped them throughout this project, demonstrating the skills and professionalism that they have come to expect from them.
“We have indeed benefited from their extensive experience in IT migration projects, but also from their extremely high level of flexibility. Adjustments have often been necessary and the Sopra teams have been able to respond to these adjustments, whether at an operational level or with regard to resources,” Jaballah added.
