Standard Bank, Africa’s biggest lender by asset size, has chosen the Infosys Finacle Mobile Teller solution to digitise its branches.
The solution is now live in 107 branches across five countries; Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, and Eswatini. Furthermore, implementation took only 22 weeks. Infosys is currently implementing in both Ghana and Tanzania and Standard Bank hopes to phase it across of Africa Regions countries.
Finacle Mobile Teller in an enterprise level table-based solution. With it, Standard Bank received benefits including:
- Consolidation and optimisation of data and teller screens, reducing the amount of clicks needed from 17 to five. In addition, the average service time has been reduced to less than 50 seconds;
- All popular activities on a single screen, resulting in 37% capacity improvement and a reduction of branch network cost by almost 14%;
- Cash deposit transactions that used to take around two minutes can be completed in under 40 seconds;
- 50% reduction in stationary, and
- Training time for staff has reduced from one week to two hours.
