Standard Chartered Bank has named Ben Hung as the new CEO of its global retail banking business, effective 31 December 2017.
Hung will replace Karen Fawcett, who is going to retire by the end of this year. Fawcett has been associated with Standard Chartered since 2001.
The latest role is an addition to Hung’s existing role as the CEO for the Greater China and North Asia region (GCNA), where he led bank’s retail banking activities in the region.
In the new role, Hung will be based in London and will oversee development and execution of strategies related to product enhancement across retail banking.
In addition to Hung’s appointment, Standard Chartered has also made some other changes at the executive level. Group head of corporate, public and regulatory affairs Tracey McDermott has been named as the head bank’s brand and marketing division.
Judy Hsu will replace Anna Marrs as regional CEO for ASEAN and South Asia (ASA). Marrs will concentrate on wealth management, commercial and private banking.
