Turk Ekonomi Bankasi (TEB) is going to
introduce a digital credit card in the second half of the year
following huge success with the launch of the world’s first digital
card last year.
Bulent Ersoz, card payment systems director at
TEB, told RBI the bank wants to grow its retail banking
business in Turkey in 2011 and continue to be innovative.
He said that the digital credit card display
will show accumulated rewards points, the customer’s remaining
credit, payment dates and the total debt amount.
Ersoz told RBI that the bank is going
to launch other cards products throughout the year, including a
contactless card in co-operation with Visa by the end of the
month.
The full interview will appear in the January
issue of RBI.
