The platform offers integrated solutions for online account opening, digital payments, lending, mobile deposits, and customer servicing.

Trustco Bank’s employees have been educating their customers on the adoption of these tools.

The new capabilities were launched in light of the coronavirus-led increase in customers’ demand for digital banking, to avoid branch visits.

To boost operational efficiencies, Trustco Bank has automated several manual processes as well.

The Architect platform from Fiserv was also selected for its software development kit (SDK), which allows financial institutions to create custom offerings.

Trustco Bank is set to roll out more capabilities from Fiserv, including person-to-person (P2P) payment capabilities via Fiserv’s ‘Turnkey Service for Zelle’.

Fiserv president of digital channels Whitney Stewart said: “From closed branches to differing banking behaviours, the impact of the pandemic has driven banks to rethink their delivery models, and we will not see things go back to the way they were.

“Trustco Bank is enabling their customers to bank in the way that suits them best.”

Trustco Bank chairman, president and CEO Robert McCormick said: “We want to be the bank that can provide a unique digital experience with a brick and mortar presence, and that means having the right products and services available to meet the evolving needs of customers.

“Fiserv has been a trusted partner to us for more than 15 years, and when it came time to create the most reliable solution, Fiserv was the easy answer.”

Last month, the Bank of Queensland (BOQ) Group also selected Fiserv to further its digital strategy.
