Urban Partnership Bank, a US-based FDIC-insured, full-service, community development bank, has unveiled a new virtual banking platform, upbAnywhere, developed by Texas-based Q2.
The upbAnywhere platform allows the bank’s customers to securely access their accounts and manage money using a computer, tablet or mobile device.
Urban Partnership Bank virtual banking products and services director Brian K Jones said it is a whole new world in retail banking.
"Account holders increasingly want the option to bank on their terms, without having to make a trip to a physical location. By partnering with Q2 on the implementation of upbAnywhere, we are delivering a state-of-the-art virtual banking alternative that we believe will appeal to these customers," Jones added.
With the new platform, Urban Partnership Bank can now deliver its banking services for the underserved and under-banked populations of Chicago and Detroit, including members of the Millennial Generation.
Q2 president and CEO Matt Flake said Urban Partnership account holders are no longer constrained by bankers’ hours or limited by access to a brick and mortar establishment.
