US-based Ally Bank has added a Windows Phone 8 version of its mobile banking app on 5 February.

The Windows Phone 8 version of the bank’s app will increase the range of customers able to access and manage their money in mobility.

Diane Morais, Ally Bank deposits and line of business executive said: "We listened to our customers and developed the app in direct response to feedback from Windows 8 users who also want to enjoy the perks of Ally mobile banking.

"Our customers with Windows smartphones will appreciate the convenience this latest mobile app will add to their overall Ally Bank experience."

The Windows smartphone app has been rolled out in two steps.

In the first one there is the inclusion of account and transaction detail, recurring electronic transfers between Ally and non-Ally bank accounts as well as Ally’s remote deposit capture feature, Ally eCheck Deposit.

In the second step, due out later on 2014, there will be included additional features such as bill pay and Popmoney person-to-person payments.

The Ally mobile banking app is available for Ally Bank customers in the Windows Phone store.
